I bought these to actually disconnect a large area of lights connected to a single switch. I figured it would be easier than crashing into the ceiling to split the chain. He did a fantastic job at that. The adjustable color and brightness of the light allowed me to perfectly match the look of normal lighting, and it gave me the ability to selectively turn off or dim parts of the room from my phone. Fabulous. However, he had some shortcomings. If you install multiple lamps, you must first install one lamp at a time and configure it individually in the app before installing the next one. Otherwise, trying to connect them all at once after installation will overload the app and send you around in circles trying to fix the problem. Very frustrating. Also, these lights only work on 2.4GHz WiFi, which might not be a problem for most people. However, if you're installing them in a household that already has tons of devices connected to your 2.4GHz router, you can expect a headache after setup. Some indicators randomly lose their Wi-Fi connection and in my case this also caused connection problems on other devices. Bluetooth should be much more stable.
