I love everything about this humidifier but DO NOT add regular essential oils to the water. This will destroy the inside of the canister and clog the mist outlet and stop working. This will permanently damage your humidifier. The ONLY way to use an oil/scent humidifier is to buy a water soluble oil. I don't feel like the company is making it clear to customers that you can't just use regular oil. I am very happy that I can exchange the broken one for a new one. It's so easy to use and clean! It is also very pleasant to look at and does not make any noise. My husband even loves it when he works during the day. I don't even think I would trust or even try to add a water soluble oil to a humidifier. If I do, I'll use a very small amount and check it daily to make sure dirt isn't building up in the tank. I feel really stupid for not realizing this before I started using it but I didn't even know water soluble oil existed. Sorry for the long review but PLEASE buy this humidifier. It's really adorable! I'm very happy with everything about it. My whole family loves this.
