I've never had a foot massager before so I was very happy to get my hands on it and try it. To be honest I was very disappointed. In terms of logistics, this machine is huge. It is difficult to store when not in use. I could slide it under a chair. The cord is also fairly short - you may need an extension cord if you don't have a comfortable place to sit and use it near an outlet. I didn't find the massage relaxing at all. It has a roll that doesn't move in any way to cover the entire foot. It's just a bumpy hard plastic roller that spins around its axis at different speeds, changing direction depending on which "mode" you choose. Another part of the massage is the "pressure" on the sides. This part is at least somewhat dynamic, but the edges of the pad are a bit pointy and actually hurt the tops of my legs. All that changes when you change "modes" is speed and direction. You cannot change the intensity of the massage. Modes simply create a sort of "random program" to change speed and direction. I also hardly felt any heat when this feature was on. There are no pads on the bottom of the massager. It's just hard plastic except for the padding on the sides and not very comfortable. I moved around my legs to place different areas on the roller, which at times put uncomfortable pressure on the sides. And the terrible creaking between the fabric cover and the hard plastic floor when you press against it with your heels. As for the calf massage, I walk a lot and my calves are pretty muscular. They barely fit in the indentations and I don't even feel the rollers or the heat. The board works. The timer works. All features change when they should. The device turns on normally. But for the price it was quite disappointing.
