Review on Joshua Tree Kombucha Complete Starter Kit: SCOBY, 1 Gallon Glass Jar, Brewing Essentials and Instructions by Stacey Williams

In general I like the set. It turned out that getting started was very easy. However, it's been over a week now and there's no sign of life, so I'm assuming my starter died. As I am new to this and have some self doubt, the reasons I believe my starter is dead: No new film growth, no sign of fermentation/bubble anywhere, PH has not dropped (tested with strips and meter) , the taste is the same as the day I started using it. It's been a week+. I'm expecting some signs of change now. I followed the instructions exactly. From the additional readings I'm on the cooler side (68-70F) so I'll heat it up to 75F for a couple of days and see if that makes a difference. If it works I will update the review. Two stars because I like the kit format. If I don't see any sign of life/figure out how to get a free starter replacement I'll downgrade it to 1 star. If I see any signs of life or figure out how to replace the starter, this would easily be a 5 star purchase for convenience' sake.
