I bought this table with a dream of putting my child's books on the shelves. Unfortunately, the shelves are too short to fold children's books in the traditional way. However, this is a good table and you can put a drink on it and put a lamp on it. Nothing else fits on it, except for a book. The small drawer is nice and very pretty, but sometimes it hangs a little on the woodwork and is difficult to slide out and back in. The top shelf is wide enough for me to put his largest books on. each other, so that's good. The building manual warns that it can only support up to 15 pounds.
