Review on 🔥 Blaster DIS Tower Coil Pack by MSD 8241 by Ronald Taylor

I have a 1998 Ford Expedition with an Interceptor 4.6 V8 engine and 182,000 miles. Needless to say, she needed some updates and replacements. I have my eye on these MSD Blaster Coil Packs. I recently bit the bullet and bought a set (they are sold separately). After reading all the reviews I was skeptical at first but happy with the results. If you're expecting these MSD Blaster Coil Packs to throw you in the back seat, you're badly wrong. They didn't give me a drop of horsepower and I didn't feel any power increase (normal driving and with a heavy leg, not tested on a dyno). However, I did notice a difference in the engine. I drive about 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic and occasionally hit 80mph in the Southern California fast lanes. After installing the MSD Blaster Coil Pack, I noticed that my idle was smoother, there was no hesitation when driving, throttle response was spot on, and the engine ran clean at higher rpm. I've also noticed that it shifts smoother under acceleration (no, it doesn't slip), and I don't have to keep my foot in it when I'm moving at 45 mph. The expedition is tough and you can feel it sometimes, but it seems to be over now. With 182,000 miles on the clock, the engine looked like new again. Installation was easy. All you need is a 7mm socket and a center extension for the passenger side. The driver's side was easy too, since I have a K&N air intake I just moved the air intake to the side and had easy access to the coil pack. Another set of longer hex head screws and spacers are included but I didn't need them for my standard spool mounts. I ended up using my old screws which were still in good condition and the right length. Don't buy these if you think you're going to get a lot of horsepower, but if you need new coil packs or rough idle problems, these MSD Blaster coil packs are for you. I am no longer a skeptic.
