I am very happy with these little lanterns! These are great for camping and to keep around the house in case of emergencies. My main purpose was to have for camping.These are surprisingly very well made. They feel sturdy and function quite well. If you are wondering if these are bright, they are! I purchased another set of lanterns of the same design but different bulbs to compare, I paid $16 for a two pack of the others. I honestly thought the other 2 pack I purchased would be brighter and better quality based on the amount of reviews and the description. Nope. This 4 pack takes the WIN. These were made sturdier and brighter. The diffuser globe around the LED bulbs protects your eyes from blinding and casts a warmer white than the 2 pack with exposed LED bulbs. I thought that the globe would make it dimmer as well, but the 4 pack seemed to brighten further than the other brand. These slide open smoothly and close up tightly, without and wiggles. I like that you can control the amount of light exposed by just simply opening and closing the top. It however, does NOT control the amount of battery being consumed, just the amount of light. These do not get hot in anyway so letting the kids run around with them is not a safety concern. Durability should be OK as well, but I'm not about to kick mine around to test it out for you! :).Conclusion, Yes this is a good buy!
