Years ago I got some sturdy plastic hangers that worked really well. Judging by the reviews, I did not expect such durability from them, and I was not mistaken. They're pretty sturdy for everyday use, a welcome alternative to others I've tried which were so brittle that they broke with normal use and sometimes even ruined clothes when they broke. They get five stars from me - they are sleek, well made, comfortable in the hands and on clothes. Just don't expect heavy hangers to suffice for heavy winter coats. Update: After using these hangers for a few weeks I have ordered another set. They don't have the seams that some hangers have that can snag on thin fabrics. They also don't have loops in the corners that make the crossbars too narrow for wide pants. So I'm more than satisfied. These are now my favorite hangers. I suspect I will slowly replace all the hangers in the house with this.
