I bought this candle 3 1/2 months ago to go to the outdoor cement pagoda. It is covered from above, with open side "windows". I liked the auto timer feature - I turned it on at the time I wanted to start it and it automatically turns off after a few hours, I don't have to set anything or fiddle with the remotes. It's been outdoors in the rain, snow and heat and works great. After nearly 4 months of nightly burning, it's still running on the same batteries. It's also nice that it runs on regular AA batteries. I wish I had bought more than one pack!
