I love these votive timers and they are perfect for places in my house where adding some kind of light wouldn't work. The timer feature is great because as soon as you turn them on for the first time, they turn off after 6 hours and turn on at the same time every day as long as the battery is still good. 12 votes for only $13 is a great deal. Can't comment on battery life as I received them a few days ago, but I ordered an extra set of batteries for these candles just to have on hand.

I bought this candle 3 1/2 months ago to go to the outdoor cement pagoda. It is covered from above, with open side "windows". The downsides are that sometimes the timer works and sometimes it doesn't, which doesn't really bother me because I only turn it on when company is over.
