An entry level 12V battery tester.

I do not use this device for charging, only for advanced battery testing functions. Charging 12 volt batteries is entrusted to a smart battery charger with Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, to get a true all-in-one with the same advanced testing and charging capabilities, you have to shell out a few hundred dollars for a professional-grade device. Most traditional portable chargers don't even have an LCD screen, usually just a couple of confirmation LEDs to indicate basic functions. This device offers several useful test functions to see how depleted and damaged your 12v supply is and if it can be restored back to a working battery. This is very handy as you can save a lot of time not knowing the condition of your batteries and having to charge them continuously for hours only to find that they are discharged too deeply or their cycle does not allow acceptable use (degradation). . Quality is basic for entry-level materials and wire gauges, but acceptable. Don't expect commercial or professional HD equipment. It's just great for home use and shadow mechanics (hobbyists/enthusiasts). It contains important and useful information to help you make an informed decision about what to do with your battery. Might save you a trip to the auto parts store as they usually check it for free. All in all a useful tool in the garage and the charging function might be sufficient, but I've never tested the function and can't comment on it. I find this device a bit overpriced, but to each his own. For reference: Used on a 2003 BMW 745i that is about a year old. If anyone is familiar with this car, they know that it has quite a lot in store due to all the heavy electronic systems at play in this car despite its age and technology.
