I have had this scale for 14 years and have only recently had problems. I was pretty accurate back then compared to other weights and body composition monitors and even the pinch test at the gym. It may take some experimentation to find the right time of day for you, but you should pick a time during the day and always get readings at that time, as first thing in the morning is always bad for body composition as the body is usually bad dehydrated in the morning. Early evening is best, but you should make a decision based on your schedule and activity. A dehydrated body is great for showing light weight, but not for showing body composition.
