I am having trouble with this mouse for gaming but due to my progressive carpal tunnel and back problems which require special attention to ergonomics this mouse is a game changer. I've used many different input devices, mice, trackballs, graphics tablets, touchpads. All have their advantages and disadvantages. I had severe pain in my wrist, through my elbow, my shoulder and in my back behind my shoulder blade. Researched and found vertical mice and this model has the highest resolution but also the lowest starting price to try. I didn't expect it to be nothing more than see if it works and then move on to Logitech or something. However, I love it and have found that while others have said that a detachable base is unnecessary for your hand, it absolutely is for me. I rubbed the bottom of my wrist as I slid across the table and the base plate allowed me to place it there without rubbing. Get ready for a completely different movement. You no longer just have to move your wrist to move the cursor. Your wrist stays static and your hand moves more. You'll probably need a little more room to move your mouse. I have no use for it. I hope that one day Jtech or someone else will work on ways to improve accuracy for games.
