This light is a lot brighter than I expected, especially given its size. The finish isn't perfect, but this is a cool looking wooden lamp for about $10. That's a good value. What's more, it remembers the last light brightness setting when you turn it off and on again, which is a really useful feature. However, I deducted a star because the switch is annoying. It works well but there is an LED inside that will light up and dim as long as the lamp is plugged in. The photo of the switch was taken during the day when all the lights in the room were on, but it's still clearly visible. I wanted this in my bedroom but couldn't sleep with the lights on. For people who don't mind lights it would be helpful to be able to find a switch in the dark, but for me it's useless and annoying - just wish there was a way to turn it off. I still like the lamp so I leave it, just not in my bedroom.
