It never occurred to me that I should inspect FADFAY Floral Cotton Four Piece Queen Bed Linen before washing. I have been buying sheets for at least 40 years and have never come across sheets like this. I'm appalled at the design of the top sheet. It was put together in a very strange way. There is a lace seam in the middle of the top sheet. The "finish" is at one end and extends around two corners and down each side. The "trim" has lace, is gathered and rounded at the corners. A piping is sewn to the bottom sheet, which presumably runs along the top edge of the mattress. The pillowcases are too narrow to fit the pillow. Are the backs made of contrasting plaid fabric and do the open ends tie? Simply the strangest set of sheets I've ever seen. It's as if the person who sewed the item didn't receive any instructions and was told not to waste the fabric. I will never use this brand again.
