As long as you don't grab the fruit and shove it into the juicer like Superman, the machine will do its job. The motor saves energy by changing the direction of the juicer every time you lift and press the juicer again. This is to prevent your motor from burning out. He can stutter a little if the pressure is too much. Any machine takes a little trickery to figure out the most efficient use, and this machine is no different. Once you learn how to squeeze the fruit properly, it will be very easy. People act like it's a piece of junk. If that were the case, I wouldn't have 3 liters of lemonade, lemonade and orange juice in the fridge right now. As I said before, this is my first juicer and I am a very impatient person. So if I can make this work, anyone can. This is a good product for the money. If you are looking for a miracle machine, you might want to check out the $100+ juicers on the market. But for preparing a pot of freshly squeezed juice, this machine is perfect. And the last remark. Someone spoke of mold growing between the two layers under the top mechanism. These two layers are the cellulose filter elements. When you're done juicing, I suggest you wash the car. You can separate orange and white pulp by filtering the plastic layers to prevent moisture, water, and old pieces of pulp from rotting, smelling, and getting moldy. It's just common sense with two plastic pieces that can be separated and washed. Used and washed several times, no mold. I hope this helps you decide.
