Review on 🔑 Enhanced Motorcraft SW6285 Ignition Switch and Lock Cylinder for Superior Performance by Julio Montano

Well this problem crept up on me 6 months ago but it only happened once and hasn't left me alone until last week. Last week the old switch started sticking and after disconnecting it 2 times I decided I didn't want to drill this thing so I left the key in, unhooked the battery and ordered it from Amazon in a day. Delivery. I then removed the old lock cylinder which PO replaced as it was not a car brand. It was very easy to do after receiving it. Installing the various tumblers until they were flat with the key in place took about 30 minutes, it was as easy as a jigsaw puzzle. Once that was done it was time to lubricate it, which I did, then it was time for the clamp installation part. This was by far the hardest part, I don't know what they expect of you to unfold this thing but I ended up using the clip from the old one because I could never open it wide enough to fit over the switch . Anyway after I finally got it I put it back in the hole and the machine worked fine! No more stuck keys, no more turning problems. I love how easy it is to repair yourself for $72. I couldn't be happier!
