My 3-year-old wanted a doctor's kit for Christmas, and the one he received had all plastic, non-functional, low quality toys in it - as kid's toys tend to do. He didn't really care about any of them not working except the stethoscope. He was disappointed that he couldn't actually hear a heartbeat. So this was the perfect solution. He loves acting like he is checking the heartbeat or breathing of every family member. It was also a hit at show-and-tell at his preschool. I'm glad I spent a little more to get something he and his younger siblings won't lose interest in so quickly.
