I think these bags make excellent regular garbage bags, but they are not as puncture resistant as the contractor bags sold at Lowe's. Another thing, the smell is terrible. It has that offshore plastic smell that comes from plastic recycling. As a contractor, I need a strong, thick, stretchy, puncture-resistant bag that's either neutral or pretty alright. The bags are from Lowe's and I'm sorry I can't remember the manufacturer's name, these are fantastic contractor bags at about the same price and have a nice clean smell. Even customers notice their surprise when they walk past my bins. Anyway, this is my experience and I hope it will be helpful.
