In a way I wish the weave was a little more open so it could wrap around odd shapes better, but a regular standard shower works great. I pre-ironed the inside and outside corners I made as well as the long corners, this makes tucking away much easier (don't iron directly, iron with a shirt, towel over fabric as you will find). I did a test with 1 coat of red protect on Duroc and this fabric with a puddle of water and it stayed there for several days. One roll had a folded edge at the start of the roll (about 8 inches) it would be nice to check yours but everything else worked fantastic and I daresay you can separate two pieces with red burn in between. The only reason schluter is popular is pretty sure contractors can come and go in a day, redgard is really impressive with this stuff, take a little and do some mock tests and you'll see.
