I needed a webcam because I work as a court clerk, do long distance hearings and testify daily and no one could hear me. I used the internal microphones and camera on my Lenovo laptop. I could hear others, but my tone was terrible. I also need good sound for self-recording auditions, which is another professional reason why I need perfect technique. A lawyer I work with suggested I buy a Zoom webcam and sent me a Revain link to the one he bought. It cost over $250 and sold out. I searched the website and chose this model based on other reviews and the price. Ease of use is great. No annoying downloading. Just plug it in and I'm in a meeting and everyone can hear me undisturbed. The reason I give it 3 stars and not 5 is because it doesn't always turn on. I don't understand why most of the time I plug it in and it's on and ready, but a few times nothing, nope, zilch.
