Review on Rough Country Single Anywhere 70728BL by David Estevez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Initial review very positive - will follow up in a year or so

Matches my 2019 F-350 Lariat perfectly. For other models (XLT, Platinum) contact Rough Country directly as they have different grilles at the time of writing. It's not a hard install unless you like taking things apart, but it can take a couple of hours. They loosen several fasteners that can easily be reused if handled correctly. You will need to drill 4 holes for the fasteners. I didn't want the dremel to separate any of the grid/support mounts so I went in at different angles to create the holes. Just go in each hole from two corners and just drill the damn holes; It doesn't matter, of course you spent $77,000 on that truck and you're going to hit the grill, but it doesn't matter, it just doesn't matter, wipe your tears buddy. up the road, run the wires to the battery and in my case I cut the switch and wire it to my switches in the cab. A little tip for centering and balancing: with the lights on, lay the grill level, tighten the nuts almost all the way, allow it to wiggle a bit, and place one hand on each lamp, using the fingers of each hand to feel the feel the copy nothing works better for relative alignment. You get the right symmetry by centering and aligning, spreading your fingers and looking for a similar alignment depending on where you are in the grid. Then place the grill upright on the table as if it were on a truck, stand over the grill from behind and look down at the lights and this will give you a great perspective by balancing them up and down. Keeping the front of the lightbar flat, even with the front of the grid, made my beam perfect, not too high and not too low. In addition they have an excellent radiation pattern, very bright. I posted a picture with the caps on them to show their match as a photo of a bright ray doesn't make much of a difference and doesn't translate well into a photo. I leave baseball caps on when I commute because I don't want frustrations on the road tempting me to wear them. I have used them in my yard and lit the night, rabbits, coyotes and recently lit a small child who was parked on the road in the back yard honking his horn because he had run out of gas. Who is raising these children anyway? Nothing compares to seeing someone get out of a car and blinding them while I assess the situation. Excellent lights, very heavy and durable. I hope they stand up to the humidity inside the case because I really like them. Quality wire with Deutsch connectors is a good place to start. I ended up helping the kid with the gas, but you can never be too careful.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
