The light is not bright; low light

I am very disappointed in these lights. We have the brightest and clearest daytime sky in Arizona, but the solar detector doesn't seem to be charging very well. The lights only come on at dusk and don't stay on for very long - maybe just a few hours in the morning. There was no remote control. I spent hours stretching them over a Saguaro metal frame. The hose is very tight and not very strong, I had to be extra careful not to pinch the hose with the zips. I would like to buy another light set.
