Not Marine Grade!: Replacement Parts
This starter has been used less than 2 years and has only been removed about 4 times with intermediate starts. The engine is completely rusted. It can't be a marine starter. I usually like Sierra parts but the starter is obviously a marine rebath but not a true marine starter. Yes, I know marine grade should do more without sparks in the engine bay, but it also needs to be sealed, and this engine is unsealed. If it worked, it worked well. But two years is not acceptable for a $200+ starter that needs to be protected from corrosion.
