When I got my brand new car this whole area was stained. Even if you clean it, it's very striped. I was about to buy the foil and one of my professional packaging friends said it wouldn't look as pretty as all the pictures on the foil sides, especially in the cup holder area. These are 3M moldings that come straight into play. I recommend cleaning the area before applying and using alcohol swabs. Also make sure they are properly aligned; I ran my nails around the edges to make sure everything was lined up before pressing. I read in another review that someone lifted the top too high and couldn't open it, so keep an eye on that. It's fingerprint free, easy to clean and looks great. They have other parts online and I will catch them all!
