Clear sound for low-power applications
Extremely clear sound, enough to drive bookshelf speakers at normal listening levels. However, once you get to higher volumes (or crank the bass control all the way up), the amp starts clipping. It's also worth noting that the 20 watts per channel rating is for 4 ohm speakers and probably about half that for 8 ohm speakers. . If you have power-hungry speakers, or plan to use them in your home AV system, you may need something more powerful.
