Great value for money that could use some improvement

The device is a great bargain, especially when paired with a compatible USI stylus, but it does have a few downsides. For me, the main downside is sensitivity. It gets to the point where the screen's touch capabilities seem to go to sleep if no touch input is detected for a while (like watching a YouTube video or browsing the web). It doesn't always happen to be honest, but when it does I catch myself tapping the screen so it registers touch inputs. Most annoying is the lack of consistency; Sometimes the screen doesn't immediately lose responsiveness after a long period of activity, but sometimes it does. Sometimes one squeeze is enough to "wake him up," other times it takes multiple squeezes and even a few smacks. The only positive thing is that it looks like a software problem and not a hardware problem because when the screen "wakes up" it responded perfectly. I hope this can be fixed with some kind of software/firmware update. The keyboard isn't as bad as some of the other reviews make it out to be. Some of the buttons on the right are a little tight, but you'll get used to it after a while if you have normal-sized or maybe smaller fingers.

Pros
  • Only positive
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
