Some apps are best missed in traditional notebooks

I've had three iPads in the past. Every few years they "tired" and I had to replace them (battery, memory issues, etc.). I thought it was time to try Chromebook. So far I am satisfied with the functionality of the device itself. The screen is crisp, the sound is ok, the keyboard is ok although I didn't quite get used to it in a couple of weeks. Above all, I am prepared for the fact that the number of apps for Android is not as high as for Apple products. A few apps I can't find at all. Some ofโ€ฆ

I can actually type on the Duet

Received my Duet yesterday although I bought it for a family member and I have had experience helping her set it up. I was impressed with the quality of the tablet. It's durable and attractive. The back cover/stand is fine, although I'm having trouble figuring out where to put my fingers to push the stand out. The keyboard is a miracle for me. I learned to touch type in 1956 and was amazed that I could type on a tiny keyboard. Most of the scaled-down keys are ones I rarely use, like [ and ]โ€ฆ

BUY BUY BUY! - Notebooks

I'm new to the tablet market. Basically I'm a fan of Revain HD Fire because they have exactly what I wanted. Most of the time I watch videos, shop, read Kindle and do a little Google searching. I've never been a big fan of apps for games and the like. But then I started looking for something that could improve performance because now I'm optimizing and moving away from a physical PC or laptop. I did a bit of research and reviewing on YouTube and this little guy was just what I needed for theโ€ฆ

WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR CHILD

I bought this for myself and about 30 seconds after taking it out of the box I knew I would need a new laptop in a month when I got it would keep for me. The size was perfect, it's very light, great to wear, but I'm 49 and this thing scared the hell out of me. It's so light and fragile I thought if I coughed on it it would fall apart. The magnet holding the keyboard and screen in place is very strong, I'm sure, but the slightest touch seemed to send one or the other part in a differentโ€ฆ

could be better but don't ask more for the price

This has many ups and downs but at $350 (with shipping, taxes and duties to Mexico) I can't ask for more. I could pay $100-$150 more if it had a faster processor, bigger screen, better sized keyboard, better front camera, which is much better on my fairly old mid-range Android, maybe better sounding speakers and if possible , a fingerprint scanner . still beat the money. This is a good product not for college students but for adults who just want to get their work done and want their car to goโ€ฆ

Great value for money that could use some improvement

The device is a great bargain, especially when paired with a compatible USI stylus, but it does have a few downsides. For me, the main downside is sensitivity. It gets to the point where the screen's touch capabilities seem to go to sleep if no touch input is detected for a while (like watching a YouTube video or browsing the web). It doesn't always happen to be honest, but when it does I catch myself tapping the screen so it registers touch inputs. Most annoying is the lack of consistencyโ€ฆ

Surprisingly good unit

We were a little skeptical because of the low price, but this unit is surprisingly good value. The screen is bright and clear. The build quality is excellent. The keyboard is small but quite comfortable. Chrome OS has come a long way, and now that Linux (via Crostini) as well as Android apps are available, there will be oceans of software running on the computer. The only downside is that the ARM processor is not very fast. But without a fan, it runs cool and fast enough for normal work. Normal
