Review on 🔌 I/O Crest 2 Port PCIe SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card Adapter with UASP, SATA Power, Renesas Chipset by Serguei Mracek

Seems to be working fine even though it was only installed a few minutes ago! I almost didn't order this based on Paul's 1 star review because I have the same motherboard as his and was worried I would suffer the same fate. Not so. I will say this: the mini disk that came with the card did not install the driver properly. So I searched the Syba site for a driver and Windows finally gave me a green tick (I'm also using Windows 7 x64). I plugged in the 3.0 extension and then the 3.0 flash drive and transferred a 100MB file. Done in no time, hardly the file transfer window appears. However, I can't comment on the full functionality as I haven't used the 3.0 internal header yet, which is the main reason I got this card. There is only 1 USB 3.0 port on my motherboard and it is currently used for the Corsair Carbide 300R faceplate (which also works great). I'll be using the second header for a 3.0 card reader on the front once it arrives! I'll try to continue this review after testing the card for a while. Why I chose this card from many now available: - It has an internal 19 pin 3.0 connector instead of an internal 3.0 hub. - It's printed on a black board to fit my mobile device, case and everything ("black" is my theme) - It's thin and small - The price is very decent. To make it better: - Use SATA power connector instead of LP4. or at least a cheap adapter included - including the best driver in the box? Overall I'm perfectly happy with this purchase so far, but time will tell (and then I'll tell you). UPDATE: 8 months later, no complaints with this product. I bought a second card to use in another build and it worked perfectly as well.
