Hello. I am a reportage photographer. Bought 6D by accident. I didn't want to spend money on a Mark 4 and didn't want to buy an old Mark 3. On second thought, I bought a 6D M2. And it so happened that two days later a 6D Mark II with a Canon 28-300 lens went with me on an expedition to Madagascar. Convenience. I have worked with Canon for many years. I like how the ergonomics are made under my fingers. And of course, over the years, I got used to the layout of the buttons. All buttons and knobs are in place. The grip is comfortable, the balance with a heavy lens is excellent. The swivel screen allows you to compose shots from unexpected angles. ISO. Working "ISO" 3200. Noise climbs above. But the noise is quite easily removed in specialized programs. Therefore, I trust the camera and set the ISO to automatic. Exposure. The camera sometimes makes a mistake in measuring and knocks out white light. To compensate, I set the exposure compensation to -1. This effect occurs on very complex planes. But for the money that it costs her, this is excusable. Security. Wonderful. What is Madagascar - it's + 45 during the day, 40 at night + wild humidity on the coast. As a result, sweaty fingers, drops of moisture from plants, and the sweat of the photographer. For a month and a half of difficult shooting in wild weather conditions, the camera did not disappoint. Work speed. Of course, this is not an advanced reportage-sports camera that will allow you to pour gigabytes of photocurrent from your hip into RAW. It must be understood that the 6D Mark II is a camera for the advanced hobbyist, although the pro will not be disappointed either. Outcome. Canon has made a very, very balanced camera for price and performance. If you want a faster camera, there is a smarter Mark 4 for this, but the Four does not have a swivel screen, and this is a very cool feature.
