As someone who has been using Cooler Masters for years and has never spent more than $30 on a CPU fan, I decided to give Noctua a try this time. Their performance is well known and to be honest CM coolers for AM4 were really sold out. Figured out what the hell. I'm a little broken Having no information on the cooling efficiency, all I can say is that this thing keeps my CPU at around 60-65C quite effectively under high load. It's a 4GHz Ryzen 1700, so it's got plenty of cores and pretty good performance. But the most amazing thing and why I give this cool box 5 stars is quite simple. Installation. This is a dream. After having to modify the backplates for the 212s just to not have shorts, it's better day and night. It works with the board's standard backplate, and there's no messing with spring screws or other things that don't seem to apply pressure when installing the processor. No, it's child's play. Very simple, very simple. I was wondering what the heck the CM engineers thought about the 212s. The instructions were also very good. Everything in the box smells of quality. This is not like SM at all. The 212 often had terrible instructions and the assembly looked so-so. I think you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend the extra charge on another Noctua. These Austrians really know how to make a quality cool box. Thumbs up!
