I just installed these bulbs in my 2004 F150. On the harness side there are two small plastic tabs inside the connector that need to be broken to allow the connectors to connect properly. Just look inside the green plastic connector and you'll see these protruding pins. Break them up with a small flat-tipped electronics screwdriver, making sure the broken plastic doesn't get into the connector, then lubricate the pins with dielectric grease. This is a good time to replace other lamps if they are old. I kept a star because I haven't even seen them in the dark. I will be back when they light up the road as I hope I just wanted to warn you about the fork issue. I wiped the back of the case with rubbing alcohol and used double-sided tape to secure the small circuit box that sits on the connector's pins.
