Review on Bosch TS1016 Outfeed Support Assembly by Sam Dhungana

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Extreme waste and poor manufacturing tolerances

Half of the equipment supplied does not fit the Bosch 4100, creating unnecessary waste, weight and cost to consumers. I can't understand why Bosch did this so I will try not to buy Bosch tools in the future unless there is a better alternative. Luckily there is a scrap metal recycling center near me, but not every consumer finds it or the time to recycle those large unusable parts. As for the product quality, what annoys me is that between the guides and the rods, since the diameter of the guide holes is about 0.6mm larger than the diameter of the rods. Both aluminum guides and steel rods are manufactured to tight tolerances, so there is no reason for such a large difference in diameter. This gap causes the prop to be 1/4" below the plane when fully extended, so I had to add shims (1.5mm to 1.6mm thick) on either side to get it closer to the plane bring.
