I am delighted. I have 10 apps working fine and 13 Chrome tabs open as I write this review. I can't believe how much faster my iMac has gotten when running multiple apps. I've been using 4GB RAM since 2011 and had no idea how easy an upgrade would be. I was ready to throw away that desktop and buy a new one. Before installing the additional 8GB RAM (4+4) the computer would freeze if I dared to open more than 3 apps. The work was excruciatingly slow. I'm tempted to replace 4GB (2+2) with another 8GB just for the extra RAM. But I'll see how it goes. A warning. Putting in new RAM required a big push. I was afraid of breaking the chips or doing something wrong. I had to use a towel to cover my finger when inserting the new RAM because the edge hurt my finger, but as long as they line up correctly hopefully they will fit. You just have to force them. Has worked flawlessly. Anyone can do this.
