I have these to set up the vive without installing base stations. Also plan on extending the cords later and using them around the garage for even more wiggle room and you want to be able to move back and forth. It's better than expected for the price. Arrived fully assembled. It takes seconds to assemble and disassemble (moving furniture before playing takes longer). Extending a full 9 feet, they are strong and well made for the job. When I'm done, I just put them away and stick them in the computer room. Managed to set up a 13ft x 13ft play area in 10 minutes, including furniture rearrangement. Ideal.
