Great for the price

These lightweight strands are durable and can withstand certain loads. Unless you're going to be dragging them through the trenches and they're going to be stationary most of the time, for the price they're perfect. I recommend a more expensive pair

Reliable and good value for money

We use them for school photography so they get a lot of use every day. They're big and strong, so they can easily hold alien bees, Novatron lights, and the backdrop. The only downside is that after heavy use, the screws holding them together will loosen and fall out. First the screw on the underside of the tripod is removed. For the price they are very good value - if you install and take apart them frequently, just be aware that they will probably wear out within a year or so.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No auto mode

This is fine 99% of the time, but if you use it for .

I got this for my Vive; and i still use it. However, I have to say that if you're going to use them on your Vive, you should probably look elsewhere. The reason for this is that the stretcher that keeps the base legs narrow is poorly designed and can't really keep the legs stable on a narrow base. It's fine for 99% of the time, but if you're using it on a Vive it's likely taking up some of the playing surface, and not being able to consistently hold a tight lane is just annoying. They appear to

NOT HARD! on booms and stands

BAD NEWS: This is NOT A HARD SERVICE! In fact, they are some of the lightest luggage racks you can buy. Whoever wrote the product description is not a photographer and does not understand the market. NOT RECOMMENDED for monobloc strobes or incandescent lamps. If you put some medium weight on them, they will bend and tip over! 2 out of 10 were damaged in transit. I'm still working on a refund now. Additionally - the photo shows that the head has a 1/4 twenty screw on top. NO SCREW ON THIS MODEL!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine

Perfect fit for htc vive vr

I have these to set up the vive without installing base stations. Also plan on extending the cords later and using them around the garage for even more wiggle room and you want to be able to move back and forth. It's better than expected for the price. Arrived fully assembled. It takes seconds to assemble and disassemble (moving furniture before playing takes longer). Extending a full 9 feet, they are strong and well made for the job. When I'm done, I just put them away and stick them in the…

Great mounts for your Vive sensors

After purchasing the HTC Vive I decided to mount the sensors on it. The price is right, about $30 when I bought them for a set of two, and they look and feel sturdy. You'll need an adjustable mount so you can point the Vive's sensors down a bit, if that's why you're buying it - another for $5 gets you a set of two ball mounts that fit together perfectly. I was also concerned that they take up a lot of floor space, but the tripod is really well constructed and doesn't require you to fully extend

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Stock availability

Handle with care! Very light and unobtrusive.

I measured the maximum possible height at 8ft 5" to the top of the plastic cap over the 1/4" thread on the top of the stud/bushing. At this height there is only a tiny overlap between each section of pipe which I don't think will withstand side loading or an accidental impact. My bathroom scale says each tripod weighs 2.6 pounds. How skinny would you be if you were 8ft 5 and weighed 2.6lbs? Okay, that's silly, but the point is, they're made out of very thin metal tubing and little plastic…
