As I was only going to use it as a angle it serves my purpose. But when you want accurate measurements from an area, they can be disappointing. As you can see in the first photo, the ruler does not reset at the right angle. It happened in one of the squares. Interestingly, the opposite side zeroed correctly and the second square had no problem with that. The second photo shows a lack of quality control as one of the rivets holding the square to the ruler was not lapped flush like the others. Also, the square part had sharp edges and had to be sanded down to be comfortable to use. They are very light and therefore do not inspire as a durable and high-quality instrument.
