This is an excellent relay. The pinout is printed on the front of the relay so you know which pin goes with which wire in your wiring harness. Take the Hella belt H84709001 with you. Just make sure you follow the relay pinout, not the wire harness color code. In this wiring harness, the ground and switch wires are reversed. 85 is ground, 86 is the switch, 30 is positive on the 12v battery, 87 and 87a are positive wires of whatever you are powering. It just depends on what you're powering what you want 87 to use. I used it for the light bar on my 4 wheel so I used 87a to connect the light when it switches to a 12v accessory. I'm not an electrician so I was very excited when it worked the first time.
