First, after installing it, I loved it. But getting to this point has been utter chaos. We are keen craftsmen and have changed MANY pieces of furniture in our home over the years. That was the hardest part and we almost gave up. This light requires you to hold everything very close to the ceiling, connect the wires together, then insert the extra wires and cords into the ceiling, then balance the 2 small screws. into a metal bracket and hope they stay in place while you push the lamp to the ceiling and stuff all the materials behind it. Sounds easier than it is. The screws are NOT attached to the metal bracket in any way so they will slip at the slightest movement. They are also not fixed in such a way that a lamp can be inserted into them to secure them. When assembling, the screws move, excess wires fall into a space that should be close to the ceiling, and there is no way to fasten everything together. We ended up making our own metal bracket and using longer, slightly inclined screws. Screw so we could adjust the tension and that held them in place until we got the tensioner close enough to hook the screws. It's not perfect, but it worked. Had I known the setup was going to be so horrible, I probably would have gone with a different device from the start. However, I LOVE this look and it will stay forever because I will never mess with it again. Some other things to note: The design around this lamp has a start/end point. A black line runs through the entire design, it is not solid. In my kitchen, I placed this line facing the back wall so it wouldn't be visible. If you have a large open area visible from all sides, you can't hide this line, and it's quite noticeable. This lamp is of better quality than others because the cover at the bottom is made of glass. However, it is matte so the light is more yellow than I would have liked.
