Review on πŸ”§ Milton 501 Duo-Head Straight Chuck Inflator Gauge by Roberto Strumer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The built-in pressure gauge is a nice touch on the 5-foot hose, but it's missing.

I received a faulty dual headed cartridge, not only was it leaking it blew to full capacity and had to be replaced. Instead of sending it back to Revain I contacted Milton Industries support and spoke to Carlos R. who attempted to resolve the issue by sending me two more dual head cartridges which should have fixed the issue. Surprisingly, both also went through the air at full power. On June 10th I emailed Carlos who did not reply to my email. I then contacted them by phone and was told they were receiving other customer complaints with the same issue. I suggested they just test a spare two head cartridge and if they find one that doesn't leak they can send it to me. Finally, on July 7th, Carlos got in touch and told me that the cartridge was in the hands of his boss and that she was taking care of it. I've since sent a message asking for an update on July 11th and still haven't received a response. It was too late to return to Revain and it was out of personal frustration that I wrote this review. The problem remains unsolved and to this day is nothing more than a headache. I think I can get a 3rd party head cartridge to at least make this product usable. While I'm at it, I might make one more suggestion. The built in pressure gauge is a nice addition to the 5ft hose, but it is not possible to attach a holding air cartridge to this configuration. Therefore, it seems that the product could have been developed to be more useful. Otherwise everything looks solid and high-quality, with the exception of the head cartridge, of course!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
