Replaced the original starter switch on my 7K alternator. Initially, I noticed that the wiring was different from the original; As soon as I plugged it in, it immediately engaged the starter. I checked the connection with a multimeter and found that the two wires were reversed in relation to the old switch. I just swapped two pins in the plug, plugged it back in, and it started fine, worked fine, and turned off when I turned it off. I can't fault the manufacturer, but be aware that the wiring may not match the part you are replacing.
