Update 4/6/17 - Just realized I've had it for a year and just today while vacuuming upstairs the flames shot out of the port onto the bottom of the floor. I had to switch off immediately because I tell you I have never seen such a strong flame. I can't figure out what caused this as nothing is touching the pins that are connected and the floor brush isn't stuck. Based on this update and the fact that this happened a year after purchase, I'm pretty sure any warranty will expire after that year. Now being nervous about using it again.
