brushes are basically useless. There are only half as many bristles as there should be and as soon as you dip the brush into the paint the few bristles that are there immediately separate into about 3 clumps making a smooth finish impossible. The picture shows 2 different brushes. I bought the one on the left earlier. You can tell the bristles are thicker and more even. The right one is what you get with this purchase. It's pretty hard to see, but the second picture shows the brushes from above. Again, the brush on the left shows thicker, denser bristles. the right one is very sparse, uneven and scattered (I didn't use it for my painting project after seeing the result I was going to get so I just washed it). If you look down to the right of the tip of the brush you can see the wooden center of the handle, so basically the bristles just go around the perimeter of the handle. There are no bristles in the middle. In addition, the left hand weighs at least twice as much as the right. Needless to say I am returning them as they are unusable.
