This covers up to two outlets, making the plug unusable for other devices. It's just lazy design. I was expecting four modes but I didn't read carefully and the mode I wanted the most is missing. This flashlight supports: 1. Off (there is no light until you turn it on manually), 2. Auto (the night light turns on at dusk, and when the power goes out, the flashlight also turns on), 3. On ( forces the flashlight to turn on). The mode I wanted was "4. Auto: The flashlight will turn on in the event of a power outage, but not the Dusk Till Dawn Night Light. So if you need light when the power goes out, be sure to use the night light feature as well. The only thing I like is that the night light is neither too bright nor too dark.
