Review on Norton Pedestal Abrasive Straight Thickness by Doug Olson

After installing this wheel on my 5/8 inch mandrel sander and turning on the sander, my entire desk was shaking violently and things were falling to the ground. I immediately turned off the grinder and upon closer inspection found that the grinding wheel was 1/8-3/16 inch out of round, causing severe shaking. I removed the grinding wheel and checked that the bushing was there and they were such that the grinding wheel itself is not round and will never work properly. I also see myself rocking from side to side, but I wasn't planning on turning the grinder back on. Using the Revain message assistant to send a message, a message was sent to Northern Tool & Equipment (seller) asking for a replacement, possibly a different grinding wheel, as I've noticed a lot of people are complaining about the same issue that I have with this special grinding wheel. search wheel. If I had read the comments before buying this grinding wheel I would never have bought it with so many complaints. I thought Norton products were good quality but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll post an additional comment when I see Northern Tool & Equipment's answer. I hope it will be positive as I have heard they have a good reputation.
