Update: April 16, 2016 This blender is still gaining momentum. I like soft frozen fruit smoothies. This is very difficult for the blender motor as the fruit is frozen and as soon as liquids are added the liquids start to freeze and it all becomes REALLY thick. I use this blender to make fruit smoothies at least 5 times a week. Here's a photo of a soft batch of 4 berries I made with this blender a few minutes ago. Reviewed July 15, 2015 1. Shipping was fast as shipper used Fed-X.2. Upon inspection of the packaging box, it turned out that it was just a very simple box with lid flaps. The flaps of the carton were closed with two pieces of shipping paper tape that ran from the flaps to about half (along) the sides of the carton. On one side of the shipping box, the tape peeled off the box and the paper tape peeled off the reinforcement cords. One of the bottom corners was badly dented.3. Upon opening the box, I was put off by the lack of protective packaging other than a letter-sized sheet of paper. The box was too big for two items of my order. Due to the lack of protective packaging material, the boxes containing my items were dented. what we found Despite the lack of protection upon delivery, all parts arrived in good condition. As I lifted the motor base, I heard something rattling inside. My first thought was that something had been damaged in transit. But as it turned out, that wasn't the problem. My husband opened up the underside of the motor base and found a loose 1" wood screw inside the case. Undressed and everything else is fine. My husband said the engine looked fine. I take him at his word because his hobby is working with electric motors. Cover is plastic. Outside, the motor base is not metal. It's plastic that looks like brushed steel. I was disappointed with this as it turned out to be metal in the picture. Since my husband and I love iced drinks, I also included Ice Blade Ice in this order. The motor is noisy but works well. We will test this blender by making smoothies, sauces, blended soups and mixed drinks, etc. I will update this review. Update August 30, 2015: Performance. 5 Stars. , 2015. I am very happy with my purchase. Results will vary depending on the blade used. As the saying goes, "any tool for the job". I use the Ice Blade to make a frozen fruit treat that's similar to soft serve. My husband and I drink at least 1 iced drink every day. My next Revain order will include the Milkshake Blade. My husband loves protein milkshakes. Gentle serving of frozen fruit. 1 cup cool or cold water 2-1/2 cups frozen fruit 6-7 packets of Truvia sweetener. First add the water and sweetener to the blender bowl, then add the fruit. The process of personalizing iced drinks. 1-3 times until soft ice cream is formed. Note. The processing time depends on the fruit size and the spatula used. If the fruit is in large chunks (1 inch), it will take longer to process.
