Review on πŸ”† ALLPOWERS 100W Foldable Solar Panel: Portable Solar Charger for Camping, Laptops, Motorhomes, Caravans, Compatible with Portable Power Station, Solar Generator by Michael Miles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a portable solar panel with Anderson connectors!

I bought this recently when I bought an Anker Powerhouse 2 800 as it has MC4 connectors on board. Also to find out he also has an MC4 adapter for Anderson. And that's great, because the Anker box I bought has an Anderson connector for charging. The plates themselves are relatively large. We're talking 24" x 18" folded and closed. The good news, however, is that it stays pretty flat. And wouldn't you know that as soon as everything is connected and you shine a little light on those panels, the juice starts flowing and the Anker box starts charging. This seems to work at 3 amps with the DC charger putting out 5 amps. So note that perhaps the best way to recharge from "exhausted" is to make sure you start doing it first thing in the morning. They can also be connected to each other thanks to the MC4 connectors. So if you need more amplifiers, connect more panels in parallel. (Don't do series or you'll likely get some magic smoke from the surf.) All in all, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this if you're photographing a stationary structure with a net, but if you need longer camping for, say, one Renaissance fair or something, it's really good timing until you get more efficient performance and then it can easily be integrated into any system with MC4 connectors.
