How to Make a Skylight Bedroom with Shelves

Here's an idea if you have a home with skylights large enough to serve as a temporary sleeping area for guests: Attach one of these Back panels on each side panel of the dormer, next to the entrance and about 6 feet off the ground so the two shields face each other directly. Then take a shower pole and hang it at the entrance of the skylight so that the ends of the pole rest against the two shields. Then hang the shower curtain on the rod. Voila - you have a tiny bedroom suitable for a crib or cot or a baby in a sleeping bag or even a good-natured adult. I have these wall boards on all four dormer windows in my house. I hide the shower rods and curtains in the closet until the grandkids or someone else comes over to stay. Skylights provide fun and semi-private sleeping spots, especially when the shower curtains feature animals, trees, or something else of interest. During the day the curtains can be pulled up over the rods so little ones don't pull on them. Great when you have a home full of company and need every square foot you can spare for general comfort and privacy. These shields blend into the walls and stay in place. For me they are irreplaceable.
