Review on πŸ”ͺ Smiths SK2 2 Stone Sharpening Kit: Unlock Sharpness with Precision by Joshua Coulter

Appearance doesn't really matter

So I first bought one of the lovely blue-green 'sharpeners' (hint it's not a stone, it's just sand rolled into a block). was of no use.. Why that? Probably because my husband and I *use* our knives. And then they sit in the sink for a while, probably coated in sour tomato slime, before being thrown in the dishwasher or mixed in with all the other hand washing utensils. Our knives get pretty bad treatment, and I would say most people's knives do. These "fancy sand" stones won't get rid of scratches. The dark gray 400 grit is actually made of stone in Smith's set. And then that little white rock that looks like you can't sharpen anything? It sharpens all of my knives, from the cheap $8 big box knives to the really expensive ones that I only use when I'm pretending I can actually cook. Motto: Don't look for a pretty block. Look for an ugly cheap looking block.
