We have used several as tie downs for our 110 lbs. German shepherd in front. He's a big guy and loves to pull cables while barking at deer, foxes, cats and other distractions that roam our yard. It does a great job of keeping it where it needs to be. We swap it out for a new one every few years because the cable's plastic coating eventually cracks from drying out in the sun and then our dog pulls and pulls on it. The sheathing eventually ruptures, allowing moisture to enter the cable, where it slowly rusts and succumbs to torture. I don't blame the cable, it's hard work. There are strong and durable hooks at each end of the rope. They never stirred up trouble and never backed down. This is a repeat purchase for me as it works as intended and lasts for a reasonable amount of time.
